Challenge
Create a display that provides a dramatic visual setting for Rollerblade's new flagship skate...the Coyote All-Terrain Skate. Rollerblade wanted the display to work as a centerpiece in a window display or on a skate wall and integrate an informative graphic backer card. The Rollerblade logo must be prominently shown and visually "fit" the image of the skate.
Coyote All-Terrain Skate Display
The Coyote Skate Display and Skate is a traffic stopper. After the first samples were shown to sales reps and customers, the demand exceeded the original projections by forty percent. Rollerblade management was thrilled that the new POP display was so visually exciting, while securely holding the skate. Retailers had tremendous success with the introduction of the Coyote -- so much in fact that supply could not keep up with demand. Rollerblade created an innovative product, and the display played a key part in the excitement and success of the Coyote.
Challenge
Design a skate display that highlighted Rollerblade's new logo and reflects the company's image as the industry leader. Rollerblade wanted to differentiate their display from the other bulky and visually "flat" skate displays. The display had to be intuitive to use, flexible in multiple retail environments, and cost less than their previous display.
The Patented 40-in-1 Skate Display "Cradle" System
Rollerblade and their customers raved about the new design and excited sales representatives pushed its introduction. Initial projections were very high, but the popularity of the piece called for more than double the units in the first year alone. The display was designed for durability and easy use. With the interchangeable backer card slots, a fresh new look can evolve year after year. It is widely considered to the best skate display in the industry.
Challenge
Create a new skate display for Rollerblade that would replace a highly successful display that had been used for the past several years. The new display needed to support a wide range of sizes of skates newly developed by Rollerblade. The display had to offer a card bracket to hold a replaceable feature/benefit card while providing strong Rollerblade branding. It needed to work in multiple retail systems including slatwall, gridwall, and freestanding environments. High volume/low cost manufacturing techniques had to deliver a durable, flexible, and beautiful skate display at an affordable cost.
Rollerblade 2001 Skate Display
As the leader in the inline skate market, Rollerblade wanted to produce a new and improved skate display to replace an already popular display it had been using for several years. The introduction of the new 2001 Rollerblade Skate Display was met with great enthusiasm by the Rollerblade sales team and their customers. This new display with its flexible display options give the reps a new offering to supplement Rollerblade's commitment to manufacturing quality inline skates. Rollerblade replaced thousands of existing skate displays with the new 2001 model.
